Afrofest could not have come at a better time.

Despite efforts to limit the festival, it has grown massively over the last 28 years. It celebrates African music and culture in the heart of Toronto.

As always it was beautiful to witness a sea of people loving the skin they are in.Here are our highlights of Afrofest Fashion 2016.

This is what action gets you. Results. Talking about just starting. If you act on what's burning inside of you – you're already ahead of the game. Yesterday at #afrofest2016 these #boldbrilliantbeautiful women shared that they had the idea to do this days before Afrofest. Instead of worrying about lack of time or it being too late- they focused on getting ready to do what they're passionate about. One has been an avid follower for years and supported my 1st business #Bellemoun. I am always so humbled that you read my posts and follow me on social media. On days like yesterday I am always reminded that where you come from is only a stepping stone- an indication of what you can be and where you can go. Ever since I saw @Beyonce video with the tribal paint I've been on the lookout for this in #Toronto. So glad I found them. Follow them via #AyidaTribalFaces. They're working on their website etc. One way we can make that change is to support Black and diverse #womenowned businesses. And men as well. If we are to rise above the hate, pain and fear let's unite in a way that shows results. Proud of these two ladies. They were so busy I didn't get their social media handles. If you know them do tag them. I can't wait to get my #tribal hand art. #motivationmonday #aboutyesterday #BeautifulWarriors #boldbrilliantbeautiful #gogetit #whatreallymatters #boldgoals #finishstrong #greatness #excellence #blackgirlmagic #blackgirlsrock #bossbabe
